PUPPETS IN HOSPITAL

Our theatre strives to provide relief for children in hospitals. We bring hospitalized children to a world of puppets - both small and big. We bring fairytales and songs. We bring the possibility to play and talk. Even a hospital bed can become the stage. 

This is not an ordinary performance. We play with children and for children. We offer spontaneous communication and children join in on the play: they prompt, help, invent stories and play with the puppets. A puppet is similar to a toy - and in the play children often are able to freely discuss what ails them and air their dispiriting feelings. This verbalization process can beneficial in the healing process. 

So that is our medicine. 

Na začátek roku 2012 připravujeme výstavu fotografií z našeho projektu. Jednotlivé návštěvy v roce 2011 pečlivě sledoval fotograf Miroslav Halada a jeho některé fotografie jsou již  k nahlédnutí i na našich stránkách. Putovní výstavu zahájíme 21.ledna 2012 slavnostní vernisáží v Mlýnské kavárně a dále budeme putovat po jednotlivých nemocnicích, které navštěvujeme. Již teď můžeme slíbit F Thomayerovu nemocnici a FN Motol, ale jistě zavítáme i do dalších nemocnic kde rozdáváme naši medicínu!
